HELLO! It’s me and I’m back again with an AMAZING award that I was recently nominated for by Rain called the All Dolled Up award! How fucking amazing is this award?
I mean we all know her blog is fucking gorgeous and she’s INCREDIBLE but this award is so creative and I absolutely LOVE it, so THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for nominating me for this award! I’m sorry it’s taken me forever to write this post- EVERYONE KNOWS I AM THE ABSOLUTE WORST!
Anyway, here are Rain’s questions that go along with the nomination:
Keats said – ‘Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder’ How much truth is in that statement, Isabella? I mean, those god awful Orcs surely can’t be an object of beauty EVEN IN THE EYES OF THE MOST GENEROUS HUMAN BEING? ;p
Well, I would have to disagree with the Orc statement because if something bigger and badder came around and was super hungry they would probably think “hmm, these ors are fucking beautiful! I’m hungry and they’ll do just fine!” That was weird, wasn’t it? I agree with that statement to an extent. I think it applies pretty well to things we only see on the outside but inwardly, it’s hard to agree with that statement when some people may very well think Orcs are beautiful (or orc-like people) inside when in reality they are just fucking evil..sooooo I guess I don’t really have an answer to that question, I think we all find certain thinks beautiful and they all differ person to person!
(I agree with Aragorn on this one)
What does BEAUTY mean TO YOU? What are YOUR standards of it?
Beauty to me is about confidence and happiness. To me, that’s the ultimate goal- I think so much about your life and outlook changes when you are confident in yourself and your abilities and this is all a part of becoming happy and finding fulfillment. Beauty is about feeling comfortable and loving who you are!
Finding beauty in adversity is an art not many possess but still we try. Would you like to share one of those moments when you just thought EVERYTHING was going in flames BUT YOU MANAGED TO SURVIVE and now look back to that time with fond memories?
Welp, this is pretty much me on an every day basis. I tend to catastrophize everything in my life (it’s a bad habit, I know) so my anxiety leads to this happening more often than not. I know there are definitely times when it has been worse than others. For instance, this summer when I was in Europe I got bed bugs and let me tell you it was probably one of the WORST experiences of my life. Obviously, it wasn’t that big of a deal and I survived but at the time it felt like the world hated me. I absolutely believe I’m a stronger person because of these experiences and each time I learn how to cope a little bit better!
Lastly, you can nominate three blogs which you think deserve this award. Let them know and I will consider them for the next month. 🙂
Two blogs I think deserve this AESTHETIC and GODLY award:
Nada from Early Bookish Birds – I LOVE her aesthetic boards and all of her pictures!!!!
Kris from Lemon-Notes – Kris is the absolute BEST and I love her so much so obviously she deserves this award just because of that BUT her site is so amazingly well done and the most aesthetically pleasing!
That’s it!! Thank you again to Rain for this amazing, beautiful and super fun award!! I can’t wait to see who you choose next!
